Are You Cooking With CBD-Infused Recipes?

If you have decided to embark on a healthy lifestyle starting with your diet, we have some good news for you. The current culinary trend sweeping the nation is cooking with CBD oil to make your favorite dishes more healthful, as well as ready-made CBD-infused dishes.

Since it exploded onto the market a few years back, CBD has proven itself to be an effective natural method of easing the symptoms of epilepsy, arthritis, insomnia, and anxiety. At this stage, we don’t have enough scientific information on the health benefits of CBD to determine exactly how it helps weight loss. However, we do know that it can definitely give us the motivation and strong mental attitude we need to stick to a clean-cut eating regime.

which cbd is best for me

Studies have already shown that CBD has strong anti-inflammatory properties that could help relieve the discomfort associated with gut problems like IBS. It also promotes a calmer and more relaxed state of mind. Quitting sugar has never been easier, as CBD also eases anxiety and panic.

Cooking with full-spectrum, organic CBD oil is the preferred choice of many, as opposed to using just isolated CBD. This type of oil is made from the leaves and stem of all parts of the hemp plant, meaning that you benefit from a ton of additional terpenes, vitamins, and minerals.

Whilst the FDA has not legalized the sale of ready-made CBD-infused dishes in the majority of states, there is no law against making your own recipes at home. Providing the CBD oil you are using is derived from hemp that is grown in accordance with the 2018 Farm Bill and contains less than 0.3% THC, it is completely legal in every state in physical dispensaries as well as online. You can, therefore, look forward to hosting CBD dinner parties at home!

Cooking With CBD

If you haven’t cooked with CBD oil before, it’s always a good idea to start with small, easy to create recipes. Make half-batches of whatever dish you like the sound of, as this will stop you wasting oil. It will also give you the opportunity to see how it makes you feel and if you like the taste. If you have never taken CBD before, remember to start with a low dose, then gradually increase this over time until you get your desired results.

Here are some of our favorite CBD-Infused recipes:

CBD Guacamole

Avocados are well known for their cardiovascular and anti-inflammatory health benefits. Now you can get an extra health boost by making delicious, homemade guacamole infused with premium CBD oil.

2 ripe, pitted avocados
1 lime
A handful of cherry tomatoes
1 fresh chili of choice
Himalayan rock salt
Black pepper
1 clove of garlic
Sunday Scaries 500mg CBD oil

Put the avocado flesh into a bowl and mash it until smooth, using a fork or hand whizzer. Finely chop the clove of garlic and the fresh chili; slice the cherry tomatoes in half and stir them in, then season with pepper and salt. Drizzle with your desired dose of Sunday Scaries full-spectrum CBD tincture and stir thoroughly to combine. Wrap the guacamole in plastic film and leave to rest for two hours at room temperature. Serve with a plate of whole-wheat nachos, or a slice of gluten-free bread.

CBD Bliss Balls

Bliss balls are the favorite healthy snack of almost everyone who is trying to convert to a healthier lifestyle. You can tailor-make them to your taste – they make the perfect afternoon snack wherever you are.

3/4 cup nuts of choice (macadamia works well)
1 tbsp. coconut oil, melted
Desired dose of CBD oil
1/3 cup oat flour
1/3 cup shredded coconut
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Touch of sea salt to taste

Toss the nuts into a blender and process until you have a thick paste, usually a couple of minutes. Macadamia nuts work well for this recipe, as they easily form a paste that is both delicious and nutritious.

Stir in your melted coconut oil and CBD oil, adding more as necessary until your nut butter is thick but smooth. Transfer all ingredients to a large mixing bowl, then stir in the oat flour, shredded coconut, salt, and vanilla and combine well. The mixture should have the same texture as cookie dough; after tasting, add more salt or agave syrup, as you like.

Scoop out a tablespoon of dough and roll it between your palms to form bite-sized balls. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used up. Chill your bliss balls in the fridge for 15 minutes before serving.

CBD-Infused Carrot Cake With Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are popular right now because they are really good for you and zero hassle to make.

1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup finely-grated carrot
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Handful of walnuts
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 tablespoons agave syrup
1 cup of dairy-free milk
1/2 cup of natural, unsweetened Greek yoghurt
Full-spectrum CBD oil

Combine the carrots, oats, cinnamon and chia seeds in a bowl, then stir in walnuts or your nuts of choice. While stirring, add the remaining ingredients. Leave to set for at least three hours or preferably overnight.

CBD Fruit Salad

A healthy fruit salad is a super-convenient option to make at any time of day. It is also a great way of using up any fruit you have that might be reaching the end of its lifespan.

Chop up your fruits and add any nuts or seeds and, of course, your CBD oil. You might want to try yoghurt as a carrier for the CBD oil as it helps to maintain potency when it penetrates your bloodstream. So feel free to stir a scoop of natural Greek yoghurt into your fruit salad!
